Olivia (Anna Torv) and her team get out of the bustling city of Boston and head to a small, secluded town in upstate New York where not everything is as it seems. Unexplained attacks involving disfigured humans are being covered up. When Olivia, Peter (Joshua Jackson), and Walter (John Noble) show up and start asking questions, they find their lives are in danger.
